Tradition. It’s in our core.
Greeting the day with sun salutations at Promontory Point

“Growing up in Hyde Park, I would see students taking part in all kinds of UChicago traditions. Now being in college and actually getting to take part in them has been really fun. We have so many kinds of wacky events.
Even though I’m not really a morning person I participated in Kuvia this year, and it was easier than I thought to get out of bed and get to the gym at 6:30 in the morning. Walking to the Point and meeting up with Dean Hale who led us in the sun salutations, despite it hailing outside – it was amazing to see how many people showed up and were having fun doing it, there’s something so uniquely UChicago about that. ”
