“I think it’s interesting the way that you can study so many different things in the College that are still really relevant to what you love. Studying West African culture was not a part of my initial academic goals, but I did my Civ requirement as a study abroad in Senegal because Wolof is spoken there. It’s a language that’s not even on Google translate. So I got access to really niche language study, which is really relevant to what I want to do, but it was still part of my Core courses.”
